Saturday Seven: Giving Back

D68A0524.jpg

This Saturday Seven is going to be a compilation of items that are carefully crafted and give back, there’s not much more I could want from a purchase! All of these companies we’ve bought from or supported in some way, and I can tell you firsthand that there is love and intentionality behind all of them.

I know for me, when it comes to receiving gifts, it’s not the money spent that has it’s effect, but the love behind the thought, and sometimes the creativity, too! I will never forget when David and I were dating, both of us had very little incomes and didn’t have a lot left over to give, so he spent weeks secretly building me a large easel to paint on. He has been creative many times since, and those thoughtful gifts have always blessed me deeply.

As you consider shopping for those loved ones on your list, I encourage you to think about a variety of ways to give with love and intentionality. Some options might be gifting experiences, gifting from small businesses, gifting items that have been thoughtfully and lovingly crafted, or making something special all on your own.

Without further ado, some holiday shopping inspiration :)

  1. We love volunteering with this company, it is SUCH a fun and joyous time for the whole family. Not only can you volunteer and help feed children globally, but you can thoughtfully gift through them, here.

  2. Know someone that would like some stylish lenses, either daily wears or sunglasses? Check out these guys, I personally own this pair and love them. Plus, they give pairs to people who need them - stylish and supportive.

  3. Want to send some unconventional but beautiful Christmas love? Send ‘em one of these, it’ll be sure to put a smile on their face.

  4. Looking to give a gift card to your favorite college student, or just a plain ol’ sandwich lover? Give them the gift of gifting back. This eatery has donated over 3.5 MILLION sandwiches - now that’s something to support.

  5. This company empowers women to get out of the cycle of poverty that pushes them into desperate circumstances, not to mention they have absolutely stunning items.

  6. If you want to give resources that will help change lives, gift through one of my absolute favorite organizations, and you can even gift in the name of a loved one

  7. The description under the thumbnail of this necklace got me a little choked up. This company has a HUGE heart for foster/adoption, and the mama behind it sure lives her calling.

I hope you enjoyed this holiday crafted round of Saturday Seven!

May your hearts be full as we go through this season of Thanksgiving and gratitude, remembering those we can love on with our choices & purchases.

XOXO
