Sessions: Seasons

If there is anything I want to accomplish at the end of my photography journey, it’s that I was a storyteller. Some stories can be told in a glimpse - the union of two lives becoming one, the labor to bring a newborn child into the world and the first moments after, the love of a family formed and grown. And some stories are told after years of collecting & capturing moments to paint a bigger picture.

This family has allowed me into their story from the first. It all started with a university graduation session of a dear friend, and her sweet young love. Some years later it was a playful and memorable engagement session, followed by gorgeous bridals in a lovely setting. And then, a riverside maternity, followed by the sweet birth session of a first newborn child. Newborn captures, six month captures, and now this sweet family of (almost) four invited me in again, to document them as they are now - moving through the seasons with grace and love, and making memories along the way.

I don’t think there could be a greater honor as a photographer, to get to peek in on the lives of those around you, and be blessed to capture some of the most sacred seconds that will stay with me long after the moments are gone.
