Project: Kids Bookshelf!

A few years back Mr. Abear did an IKEA hack bookshelf to replace our super outdated 1980’s wet bar.

My favorite feature about this space is that it’s two sided, so I can store pretty dishes on the dining room side, and books/games on the family room side.

We just finished up a big room redo project this week that included a much bigger IKEA bookshelf hack, a place to store all of our reads. Since we were moving our books off of the smaller bookcase, I decided to turn it into a “kid shelf”, complete with books, games, cute accent pieces and featured favorites.

I love that it’s a bright, cheery place for the kids to enjoy some of their favorite pastimes.
