Books: To Inspire & Move

I have always loved books - hours and hours spent being read to by my parents as a little girl, then reading books to myself, until I was devouring hundreds of pages of mystery and intrigue. Eventually the reading tapered off, but the love for it never did. Getting married and having littles helped me chose rest (aka sleep) over most reading, but I still did every once in awhile.

Now Little Abear is a voracious reader, downing book after book, not even giving us enough time between library trips before he’s done and ready for more. It’s amazing seeing his little mind consume so much, an interest in fiction and a love of knowledge beyond his years.

Over the last year or so I’ve gotten much more into reading again, and, even though I’ve only finished one book this month, I have started two others on practical living that I am loving.

If you are looking for some serious life inspiration and encouragement, I highly recommend The Life Giving Home and The Happiness Project. I am only a bit into both books, but the encouragement to take action and walk out a fuller life is already there.

What are you reading these days? Any suggestions or favorite authors?

Feel free to leave me a comment below with a title/series/author you just can’t put down!
