Sessions: Legacy

I was there visiting days after the first babe was born, and then captured him at his one year family session. Then each babe after, I’ve had the honor of capturing, until now one of the newest came for a visit and he, too, was photographed. All of these babies are parts of a legacy, they all come from a family whom I have respected for many years. Some of them siblings, some of them cousins, they are all of the same blood - a heritage from a God-fearing family, one that pursues justice and goodness. It has been so beautiful watching each babe come into the world, and the great honor of being invited in to frame a moment of their life.

What is your legacy? Mine are soundly sleeping upstairs, a constant reminder to work harder, be filled with more grace, and love better. I am moved to think the best kind of legacy is one that continues on.
